Why not nurture that love? We offer intensive riding weeks for students under 18 at all experience levels—not just for summer but also for spring and winter breaks.
Each day kids get to ride, both in the ring and through the woods. We also tailor activities to their experience level as well as age range. For example, if they are more experienced they might work on jumping, while we teach newcomers walking and trotting on the lunge line.
Your child will have lots of fun making new friends (both two-legged and furry) while getting plenty of fresh air and exercise.

At the end of each session, riders put on a horse show for parents and friends.
The atmosphere at Frog Hollow Farm is supportive and non-competitive. We’re all about having fun with horses safely!
Enrollment is limited to no 5 participants per session, to make sure each child gets careful supervision and one-on-one teaching.

For riders 4 to 6 years old, this youngsters’ week includes riding and grooming, horse care and playing fun games both on and off ponies.

Youth Riding Intensives
For riders 7 to 16 at any riding level, youth riding intensives are for the kids who never get tired of horses. We have 3 instructors so there is no difficulty accommodating riders of different levels.
We will love on them (kids and horses), groom them (horses) and teach them up to their abilities. We will ride every day at least once, often twice.
For more advanced riders we will do some gentle “trick” riding, trail riding, dressage (a fancy French word meaning “training” of the horse and rider) as well as riding jumps and cavaletti where ability appropriate.
We may even include an in house schooling show.
Your kids will come home happy and tired.

Dressage Competition Prep Program
This week is for kids who would like to compete in a dressage show and will include participation in a local dressage competition. This intensive also is appropriate for any kid who just wants to get acquainted with dressage competition and raise their riding skills a notch. For kids not showing this year, we will attend the competition as observers/helpers, so kids and parents can learn what showing entails.
Important note: The riding week fee includes show coaching, horse transportation and horse lease for the day of the show. The show likely will be on a Saturday, and entrance and stall rent fees to the show management are not included in the riding week fee.
Board can be arranged, at additional cost, for anyone who wants to bring their own horse for the week.
