Our Mission
We believe, and science confirms, that being on and around horses can bring joy and healing to people of all abilities. Our mission is to make the transformative power of horses accessible to kids and adults in need of it, with a special focus on horse-assisted therapy services.
We also assist dedicated riders in pursuing the equine discipline of dressage.

At Horses for a Change, we operate on the foundation that everyone is welcome. We understand the transformative power of horsemanship and want to share it with our community. We’re dedicated to nurturing a love of horses in all who are interested, regardless of your background.
We take this same approach with our horses. Many times horses come to us neglected or abused, and it is a wonderful thing to see their transformation as they work with our trainers, and eventually feel at home here and build bonds with our staff and riders.
Our Location
Horses for a Change is located at Frog Hollow Farm, a 135-acre paradise located in Esopus, in the Hudson Valley of New York state. Nestled in the hills near the Hudson River, the farm provides a sanctuary to help you reconnect to nature.
Here you will find two indoor arenas, a full size dressage arena with an upstairs viewing area and kitchen and bathroom. There is also a small dressage arena at the top of the hill.
In addition to the programs offered through Horses for a Change, Frog Hollow Farm offers boarding for horses.
